Entrepreneurship is a complex social phenomenon that involves complex interactions between people and their societal contexts in which they work, live and play, as well, and learn. It is therefore often seen as an important research area in the social sciences. It is also an interdisciplinary field that draws upon the disciplines of sociology, management, law and public policy, anthropology and non-profit management.
We review the research on entrepreneurship for non-business students in this article and provide a framework for existing research based on the four dimensions of social-learning: observational-learning, how peers and mentors and the entrepreneurial ecosystem as a platform for social-learning and institutional influences. We also consider how this framework can be utilized more effectively to guide future research and development in entrepreneurship education. We also present an in-depth study of bibliometrics supported by VOSviewer and Bibliometrix which highlight the most prominent authors, organizations and countries, seminar papers journals, themes, and seminars. This provides a complete and thorough understanding of the current state of the art. The analysis also contains information about future research areas and gaps in knowledge.
